Farro is a whole grain product made from farro grande alpino, a type of spelt that is grown in the Belluno valleys. Unlike whole farro grains, This farro is debraned - the hull is removed, making it cook much faster (around 30 minutes) while still keeping its nutritional value.

The spelt is great for minestrone soup, rich salads and farrotti!

We suggest soaking the spelt in water for 12 hours and then cooking it for 30 minutes.
