HOMEMADE GRANOLA WITH NUTS & SICILIAN HONEY

HOMEMADE GRANOLA WITH PISTACHIOS, ALMONDS AND ORANGE HONEY

Ingredients:

  • 170 gr oat flakes
  • 125 gr almonds, pistachios, walnuts and hazelnuts
  • 70 gr dried fruit  (raisins, apricots, bananas...)
  • 75 ml orange honey
  • 25 ml sunflower oil
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Cut the nuts in smaller pieces and mix them with the oats. Keep the dried fruit on the side.

In a small pot, dissolve the honey together with the oil and 50 gr of water. Pour it over the oats and nuts mix, stir well. Bake the mix in a preheated oven at 160°C for 35 minutes (stir a couple of times to be sure that the granola is cooking homogeneously). Once ready, take it out of the oven and add the dried fruit. Let everything cool down and store it on a glass jar closed with a lid. Enjoy it with milk, yogurt or fresh fruit.
