What’s your name and your role in the company?
Nicolo' Lo Piccolo, owner, engineer, beekeeper.
How would you briefly describe Bio Gold Sicilia?
A dynamic, innovative company. We move together with the market and what customer require. We are open and able to match every need. We go to farmers markets to sell the fruit and vegetables we cultivate yet at the same time we have our ecommerce. Then we also have a physical shop and we shorten the supply chain with it. Our main products are for sure our honeys, strawberries and peaches. But we also produce a wide variety of fruit and vegetables.
How does Bio gold contribute to the development of the territory and the local economy?
When it was possible and as soon as it will be possible again, we love to organize tasting events not only of our products. We love to promote what we do together with our colleagues in order to give light to the inner Sicilian countryside and not only to the most known seaside locations. We do it through tasting events, experiences, tours.
What makes your product special?
Love and passion. A lot. I work far from polluted areas and inside a nature reserve.
How do you think Chiara’s Food matches with what Bio Gold Sicilia does?
We are both from Sicily and we have a volcanic soul. We are creatives and we promote our territory abroad with a lot of energy. You decided to have a direct contact with the producer.
