Liola is a Sicilian extra virgin olive oil from Lu Trappitu, a blend of Nocellara del Belice and Moresca. The trees grow on the calcareous soil of Campobello di Licata, in the province of Agrigento. The olives are handpicked between mid October and early November and pressed within twelve hours, so the oil keeps its bright character. Gold with green accents, it smells of green tomato and cut grass, with an intense fruity taste and balanced notes of bitter and spicy. Lovely on fish, grilled meat, vegetables, soups and salads. The name is a nod to Pirandello's play Liola. 500ml.
