Pesto al finocchietto selvatico, wild fennel with almonds, sun dried tomatoes, capers and a little anchovy, for hot pasta.
Wild fennel, the herb that defines Sicilian pasta con le sarde, makes up 75% of the jar. A product of Sicily from Fratelli Burgio, who have run their family deli since 1978, first in Solarino and now in Siracusa, without preservatives.
How to use it
- Tossed through pasta with a splash of cooking water.
- Or warm it for 5 minutes in a pan with a little extra virgin olive oil, then add your pasta.
